Senior Coach John Cunningham
John Cunningham has been appointed Senior Coach for 2019
John (JC) played 108 games for Norwood, winning the Club Best & Fairest in 1996 and the Jack Oatey Medal in the 1997 Grand Final.
A 3 time Advertiser Team of the Year member JC brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our footy club.
JC coached Pembroke Old Scholars to a Grand Final in his first senior role after retiring from Norwood and has also been part of Norwood’s Assistant coaching ranks.
He is fresh off coaching our U14 Girls team and his family is firmly entrenched in our family Club.
Pre-season training is in full swing and we’re looking forward to the game plan, structures and enthusiasm he will bring.
Reserves/Assistant Coach Mark Kamenik
Mark Kamenic has signed on again in 2019 on the back of a really positive season. Mark is very much team orientated, loves coaching and teaching our rising juniors and is passionate about being part of our club success.
He will provide solid back up for JC and is always willing to help in any way – as highlighted by his desire to coach our Under 16.5 team as well in 2019
C Grade Coach Brad Ebert
Ebo had good success on and off the field last year where he was able to recruit many new players to the club, and work on achieving a team of enthusiastic boys who wanted to be a part of our club.
He’s been a long time supporter of Glenunga and remains committed to ensuring our senior list keeps growing.
Assistant Coach David Pittman
Pitto has been a mentor to many of our players over the past 3 seasons and will continue in this role in 2019.
He brings outstanding knowledge of the game to our footy club and highest level experience as both a player and assistant coach.
Assistant Coach Butch Pedler
Butch was a stand out player in a few country leagues, and has coached at senior level with success. He played with a no fear attitude and has great football knowledge to pass on to our senior players of all grades.
Footy Director Rocky Butterworth
Rocky came to us in 2018 after some 20 years in senior coaching positions in the Adelaide Footy League. He loves working with individuals to help make them better players and will assist again on match days.
Sam Wundke joins his 2 brothers James & Nick after a successful career at North Adelaide. Slime brings experience and talent to our team and will play a variety of roles for us in 2019
Tom Bielby has come to us from Tea Tree Gully, where he was an excellent player in the Division 1 Premiership in 2018. Tom is a strong bodied midfielder with a beautiful left foot kick and will be a valuable asset to us this year
Steven Pollock has returned from Sydney after a successful couple of years as player/coach of UNSW Blues. Pol also has League and Reserves experience with Norwood and North and will be a key forward in 2019.
Luke Bowman has come through the Norwood under age system and is another strong bodied backman/mid who will fit into our team perfectly
Jordan Schmidt returns from his ACL injury and will be a new ‘recruit’ for us this year. His poise across half back will be valuable.
Tom Campbell joins us after spending some time in the Hills League when he finished his time at Sturt. A close friend of Alex Haren, Tom will be a handy player in many positions for the Rams
